The south Indian state’s tropical location, lush vegetation, fertile coastal waters and spice plantations make it the home of some of the sub-continent’s most treasured dishes. At the award-winning Mint and Mustard restaurants you can taste this exquisite cuisine all year round. But every so often, our chefs really like to “go to town” and celebrate the huge range and depth of food of their homeland.
So, to add extra heat, spice and passion to the UK’s hottest month, we are pleased to announce our Keralan food festival – bringing a superb taste of India’s deep south to the public of Wales and the West Country.
Our special menus will give you a chance to sample the very best of Kerala – the Land of Spices: from homespun favourites, to fine dining specialties.
Keralan food is famous for its lightness and freshness, and for the exotic ingredients and exciting spices that make it one of the world’ great cuisines. Fresh seafood, mango, coconut – as well as the flavours of kokum, curry leaves, mustard seeds and rare spices – define the unique and exquisite taste of Kerala.
The Keralan food festival comes to all our restaurants from July giving diners a chance to sample its mouth-watering fare.
